Use Dropbox With the Builder

2 min readUpdated 2026-09-16

If your artwork already lives in Dropbox, you can connect the account once and then browse your folders from inside the builder. Files you pick are imported directly, so you never download and re-upload anything.

Before You Start

The Dropbox tab only appears if the shop has turned the Dropbox integration on. If you do not see it in the left-hand tool rail, the shop has not enabled it and you will need to upload from your device instead.

Connect Your Dropbox Account

  1. Open the Dropbox tab in the builder's left-hand tool rail.
  2. Click Connect. A Dropbox authorization window opens on top of the builder.
  3. Sign in to Dropbox in that window and approve the connection.
  4. Close the Dropbox window when it is done. The builder picks up the connection and loads your files.

While the authorization window is open the builder shows "Connecting your Dropbox account…" with Cancel and Continue buttons. Continue brings the Dropbox window back to the front if you lose it behind another window; Cancel closes it and stops the connection.

Browse and Import Files

  1. Folders and image files appear in a grid. Click a folder to open it.
  2. Use the breadcrumb trail at the top — starting with Home — to step back up to a parent folder.
  3. Type in the search box to find a file by name. The search runs about a second after you stop typing.
  4. Click the reload button next to the search box if you have added files in Dropbox since opening the tab.
  5. Click an image to import it. The builder shows "Importing image from Dropbox…" and then adds it to your images.
Note

The grid shows folders and files from the folder you are currently in, not a flat list of everything in your account. If a file does not appear, check you are in the right folder or search for it by name.

Disconnect

Once connected, the builder shows Connected as followed by your Dropbox name, with a Disconnect link beside it. Click Disconnect to unlink the account. Your imported images stay in the builder; only the connection is removed.
