How to Connect Dropbox (Shopify)

2 min readUpdated 2026-09-16

Steps

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps and open Drip Apps: Build a Gang Sheet.
  2. In the app's left sidebar, click Gang Sheet.
Important

There is no "Settings" menu and no "Storage" tab in this app. The sidebar goes straight to the settings pages, and Dropbox lives on the Gang Sheet one.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Connect Dropbox section. Its subtitle reads "Upload generated gang sheet files to your connected Dropbox storage."
  2. Click the connect control. You are sent to Dropbox.
  3. Sign in to Dropbox and authorise the integration, then follow the prompts back to the app.
  4. Once connected, set the folder path the app should write into.
Note

All of your designs stay accessible inside the app whether or not Dropbox is connected. Connecting Dropbox adds a copy in your own storage; it does not move anything out of the app.

Sending different products to different folders

Open a product, go to its Settings tab, and use the Storage folders section. Turn on the Dropbox override and enter a path for that product. It supports the same tags as your shop-level file name format, such as {order_name}. Leave it off to use the shop default.

If uploads stop working

The app checks every upload. When a connection keeps failing — a full Dropbox, an expired authorisation, a deleted folder — it pauses that connection and emails you a plain-English explanation of what went wrong.

Warning

Reconnect from this same section after fixing the underlying problem. Nothing is lost while the connection is paused; the gang sheets are still in the app and will be there when you reconnect.

Why Connect Dropbox?

  • Your production team can work from Dropbox instead of logging into the app.
  • Files are organised into the folder structure you already use.
  • You keep an independent copy of every generated sheet.
