Where the cloud storage settings are
There is no tab called "Storage" or "Storage Settings" in the app. Dropbox and Google Drive are two sections at the bottom of the Gang Sheet settings tab.
Steps
- In your Shopify admin, open Apps and launch Build a Gang Sheet.
- In the app's left sidebar, click Gang Sheet. It sits in the settings group, below Shop Builder.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page. You will find two sections:
- Connect Dropbox — "Upload generated gang sheet files to your connected Dropbox storage."
- Connect Google Drive — "Mirror generated gang-sheet files to a Google Drive folder."
- Click the connect control in whichever section you want, sign in to that provider, and authorise Drip Apps.
What the connection does
Once connected, each generated print-ready gang sheet is copied to your cloud storage as well as being kept in the app. Your files are always available inside Build a Gang Sheet whether or not a storage provider is connected — this is a copy, not a move.
Files are named using your File name format setting, which is the first section on the same Gang Sheet tab. If two designs in one order would end up with the same name, the app appends " (1)", " (2)" and so on rather than overwriting.
Per-product folders
You can send different products' files to different folders. Open a product, go to its Settings tab, and use the Storage folders section to override the shop-level path. It is available on every product type, and it supports the same tags as the file name format. Leave the toggle off to keep using the shop default.
If a connection starts failing — the account fills up, the token expires, or the folder is deleted — the app pauses that connection and emails you. Nothing is lost while a connection is paused; your gang sheets are all still in the app.
Why connect cloud storage?
- Your production team can pull print files without logging into the app.
- Files land in the folder structure you already work in.
- You keep an off-app copy of every generated sheet.
