Gang Sheet Settings in Shopify

2 min readUpdated 2025-07-01

Steps

  • Open the Build A Gangsheet App – From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on Apps in the sidebar. Select Build a Gang Sheet to launch the app interface.
  • Navigate to Gang Sheet Settings – In the left-hand settings panel, choose Gang Sheet to open all available configuration options for gang sheets.
  • Customize Your Settings – - Gang Sheet File Name Format : This determines the text printed at the top or bottom of the gang sheet. You can use variables to dynamically generate file names. - Gang Sheet File Type : Choose the output file type that your printer requires (e.g., PDF, PNG). This is the format the app will generate—not what the customer uploads. - Download vs. View : Decide whether admins will download or view the gang sheet directly from the order panel. - Print File Name : Enable or disable printing the file name on the gang sheet itself. - Print QR/Logo : Activate this if you want to include a logo or QR code on customer gang sheets. - Select QR or Logo : After enabling the QR/Logo option, choose whether the printed graphic will be a QR code or a logo. - Accepted File Types : Define which image or design file formats you allow customers to upload (e.g., PNG, SVG, WEBP).
  • Save Your Settings – Once you’ve configured your preferences, scroll down and click Save All to apply the changes. These settings will now govern how gang sheets are generated and handled throughout the order process.
  • Why Adjust Gang Sheet Settings?

    • Ensures your output files are compatible with your print workflow.
    • Allows branding and customer-specific identifiers like QR codes or logos.
    • Improves file organization and workflow efficiency.
    • Controls what formats customers can upload to reduce errors and revisions.
