Storefront Assignment Settings

The Storefront Assignment page controls which team members can access which storefronts, and what they're allowed to do there. This is how you delegate work — giving each person access only to the stores and actions relevant to their job.

How assignments work

Each storefront has its own list of members. From this page you can see every storefront, how many members it has, and who those members are, along with their role and status (active, or pending an invite).

Assign a team member

  • Go to Settings → Storefront Assignment.
  • Choose the storefront you want to assign someone to.
  • Assign a user and select their role.
  • Save the assignment. If the person is being invited, their status shows as pending until they accept.
  • Roles

Members are assigned one of four roles, which set a baseline level of access:

  • Admin — Full access to the storefront.
  • Manager — Broad management access.
  • Editor — Can make changes within their allowed areas.
  • Viewer — Read-only access.
  • Granular permissions

Beyond the role, you can fine-tune exactly what a member can do with granular permissions, including:

  • Orders — view and manage orders.
  • Products — view and manage products.
  • Customers — view and manage customers.
  • Analytics — view store analytics.
  • Discounts — view and manage discounts.
  • Pages and navigation — edit storefront pages and menus.
  • Settings — edit storefront settings.
  • Toggle each permission to grant only the access a person needs, following the principle of least privilege.

    Managing members

You can update a member's role or permissions at any time, deactivate access, or remove them from a storefront. The page also shows who assigned each member and when they last logged in, giving you an audit trail.

    Tips

  • Start with the role that's closest to what someone needs, then adjust individual permissions.
  • Grant only the storefronts and actions each person requires.
  • Review assignments periodically and remove access for people who no longer need it.
