Document Templates Settings

The Document Templates page (found under Settings → Documents) controls the look of the PDFs your shop generates, such as quotes and invoices. Your shop starts with a default template for each document type, and you can customize them so every file you send to customers and vendors looks professional and on-brand.

The template library

When you open Document settings, Drip Merch shows a library of templates — one for each document type your shop uses. If a template doesn't exist yet, a sensible default is created automatically the first time you visit, so you always have something to start from.

  • Go to Settings → Documents.
  • Browse the library of document templates.
  • Select the template you want to change.
  • Edit a template

Each template can be opened and edited to match your branding and the information you want to show:

  • Open a template from the library to enter its editor.
  • Adjust the layout, branding, and content shown on the document.
  • Save your changes.
  • Your edits apply the next time that document type is generated, so future quotes and invoices reflect your updated design.

    What lives on a document

Documents pull in details from across your shop, including:

  • Your shop details — name, contact info, and logo from your profile and branding.
  • Order or quote line items — the products, quantities, and pricing.
  • Document numbers — the prefix and sequence set in Document Numbers settings.
  • Because of this, keep your shop details and branding current so documents always show accurate information.

    Tips

  • Review each document type after editing to confirm it renders the way you expect.
  • Coordinate template changes with your Document Numbers settings so numbering and formatting stay consistent.
  • Send yourself a test quote or invoice before rolling changes out to customers.
  • Well-designed templates make your shop look polished at every touchpoint, from the first quote to the final invoice.
