Orders Tab: Searching for an Order

2 min readUpdated 2026-09-16

How the search works

The search on the Orders tab is not a general free-text search. You choose which field to search first, using the dropdown next to the search box, and then type your term. Searching for a customer's name while the dropdown is set to Order ID will find nothing.

Steps

  1. In the WordPress admin sidebar, click Gang Sheet.
  2. Click the Orders tab.
  3. Open the dropdown beside the search box and pick one of:
    • Design Id — the design's unique ID. Use this when a customer or a teammate has quoted one.
    • Order ID — the WooCommerce order number.
    • Customer — the customer's name.
    • Product — the product title.
  4. Type your term in the Search... box. The list filters as you type.
Pro tip

Design Id is the most reliable of the four. Customer and Product both depend on matching text that a customer or you typed, whereas a Design Id is exact.

Getting a Design ID to search with

Each row has a Copy Design ID button in its Actions column. Clicking it puts the ID on your clipboard and the icon briefly turns into a tick.

Note

Copy Design ID only works over HTTPS. On a plain http site you get "Your connection is not secure." instead.

What the search does not do

  • There is no Active, Archived or All filter on this tab.
  • The Update More button does not refresh this list — it opens the Drip Apps merchant panel in a new tab, which is a different application.
  • Clearing the search box restores the full list.
