Where these settings live
These settings are not in WordPress. They live in the Drip Apps merchant panel, which opens in its own browser tab. The only settings you can change from inside WordPress are Store Name, Store Logo, Supported File Types, Gang Sheet File Name Format, Print File Name on top of Gang Sheet, the WooCommerce order-line charge display, and the four builder-button fields.
Steps
- In the WordPress admin sidebar, click Gang Sheet.
- On the Home tab, click Update More. The merchant panel opens in a new tab, already logged in.
- In the sidebar, click Settings.
- Along the top, click the Settings tab.
- In the section list, choose Gang Sheet.
- Change what you need, then click Save All. The button sits under the section list on the left of the Settings page.
The settings on this screen
Gang Sheet File Name Format — the naming pattern applied to every generated gang sheet file. Build it from placeholders such as {order_id}, {customer_name}, {variant_title} and {order_name} so you can identify a sheet without opening it.
Edit Request Email — the address that receives design edit requests from customers after they have ordered. This field only appears on WooCommerce stores.
Upload Product File Types — the file formats accepted for product uploads coming through WooCommerce. This field only appears on WooCommerce stores.
Print File Name — a toggle. When on, the file name is printed onto the gang sheet image itself, so your production team can identify a sheet from the print rather than the file. Turning it on reveals three more controls:
- File Name Position —
top,bottomorboth. - File Name Height — Normal (full size), Small (70%) or Tight (40%).
- File Name Spacing — extra blank space in inches between the file name and the artwork. Range 0 to 2, in steps of 0.05. The default of 0 leaves the layout unchanged.
Print QR/Logo — a toggle that stamps either a QR code or your logo onto each gang sheet. When on you also choose:
- whether to print a qr code or a logo;
- the placement, inline (on the same row as the content) or next (on its own row);
- and, if you chose logo, you upload the image here.
Gang Sheet File Type — the output format: PNG, PDF or TIFF. PNG is the most widely compatible.
Selecting PDF shows this notice in the panel — "USE WITH CAUTION. This is a newer output method that isn't used or tested much. Please verify accuracy before printing. We will not be responsible for incorrect output files." Test a real print before switching a live store to PDF.
Download File — how a finished gang sheet is delivered when you click it: Open puts it in a new browser tab, Download saves it straight to your machine.
Trim empty space at the bottom — a toggle. Crops unused whitespace below the last row of images, which reduces the file size and saves material.
Disable Anti-Aliasing — a toggle. Generates the sheet without edge smoothing, for sharper edges on hard-edged artwork such as text and vector shapes. Sheets generated this way use a different rendering engine.
Upload to Dropbox — see below.
Uploading finished gang sheets to Dropbox
- Turn on Upload to Dropbox.
- Click Connect Dropbox. (If you had connected before and the link has lapsed, the button reads Reconnect Dropbox instead.)
- Authorise Drip Apps on the Dropbox screen that opens. You are returned to the merchant panel and the account appears under Connected Account.
- Set the Gang Sheet Folder Path — the folder inside your Dropbox that finished sheets are written to. It accepts the same placeholders as the file name format, so you can separate sheets by order or customer.
- Optionally turn on Enable upload design to dropbox when order status is only processing. With this on, a sheet is only sent to Dropbox once the order reaches the processing status, which stops unconfirmed orders filling your production folder.
- Click Save All.
To stop using Dropbox, return to this section and click Disconnect next to the connected account.
Dropbox is optional. Your gang sheets are stored and served by Drip Apps whether or not you connect it — Dropbox is a delivery convenience, not the primary storage.
