Assign Team Members to Storefronts

As your business grows, you'll want teammates helping run your stores — but not everyone needs full access to everything. Drip Merch lets you assign people to specific storefronts with a role and fine-grained permissions. This article shows you how.

Open Storefront Assignment

  • Go to Settings in the dashboard.
  • Open Storefront Assignment.
  • You'll see your storefronts and the members assigned to each, along with a count of total assignments.
  • Assign a User to a Storefront

  • Find the storefront you want to add someone to.
  • Choose to assign a user.
  • Enter the person's email address.
  • Pick a role that matches how much access they need.
  • Confirm to send the invite. If the person hasn't accepted yet, the assignment shows as a pending invite.
  • Understand the Roles

Each role comes with a sensible set of default permissions:

  • Admin — full access to all storefront features.
  • Manager — manage orders and products and view analytics, without managing customers, discounts, or settings.
  • Editor — edit products and storefront content, including pages and navigation.
  • Viewer — view-only access to orders, customers, and analytics.
  • Fine-Tune Permissions

If a role isn't an exact fit, you can customize permissions per member. Permissions are grouped so they're easy to reason about:

  • Orders & Sales — view and manage orders.
  • Products — view and manage products.
  • Customers — view and manage customers.
  • Analytics — view analytics.
  • Discounts — view and manage discounts.
  • Content — edit pages and navigation.
  • Settings — edit storefront settings.
  • Open a member's permissions to toggle exactly what they can see and do on that storefront.

    Manage Invites and Access

  • Resend an invite if a teammate hasn't accepted yet.
  • Update a member's role or permissions as their responsibilities change.
  • Deactivate access when someone no longer needs it.
  • Why This Matters

Scoped access keeps each store secure: people only touch the stores and features they're responsible for. You stay in control while your team gets exactly what they need.
