Adding Halftone (Standalone)

Steps

  • Open Global Settings – Start by selecting the Settings option from the dashboard navigation.
  • Access Tab-Specific Settings – Within the general settings area, click on the tab-specific Settings to manage builder-level features for a given product or layout tab.
  • Select the Builder Setting Panel – From within the tab configuration, open the Builder Setting section.
  • Enable Transparent Warning – Toggle on the Enable Transparent Warning feature. This setting alerts customers when their design includes transparent elements, which may require special handling for halftones.
  • Enable Halftone Feature – Turn on the Enable Halftone Feature setting to activate halftone options within the builder for applicable images.
  • Save All Changes – Click Save All to apply your updated settings before testing the feature.
  • Test the Feature – Preview and test the settings by uploading an image that includes halftone-friendly design elements (such as gradients or screen-print textures).
  • Upload a Halftone-Ready Design – Import a design that makes use of halftones to see the Transparent Warning and Halftone controls in action.
  • Observe Transparent Warning & Halftone Activation – The system will detect transparent areas and display the warning. At the same time, Halftone tools will become available for editing.
  • Use the Halftone Tool – Select the Halftone option to open advanced configuration tools for dot pattern rendering.
  • Remove Background (Optional) – Within the Halftone tool, you can optionally Remove Background to isolate the core design elements for a cleaner result.
  • Upscale to 300 DPI – Use the built-in upscale tool to enhance your artwork’s resolution to 300 DPI , ensuring a print-ready file.
  • Adjust Halftone Density and Angle – You can fine-tune the density and angle of the halftone dots, and toggle the Halftone effect on or off to preview adjustments.
  • Automatic Design Cropping – The app will automatically crop designs to remove excess whitespace or transparent boundaries, optimizing placement on the gang sheet.
  • Use Additional Color Tools – Access built-in color manipulation tools to adjust hues, brightness, contrast, and saturation directly within the design flow.
  • Apply Your Adjustments – Once you're satisfied with your design modifications, click Apply to finalize the halftone rendering and color settings.
