Gallery Tab: Creating and Managing Categories

This tutorial covers how to create categories, upload images, and manage your design gallery in the Standalone version of the Build A Gangsheet App. You’ll learn how to organize your assets, add tags, enable overlays, and more.

Step-by-Step: Creating a New Category

  • Go to the left-hand navigation panel.
  • Select the Gallery tab.
  • Click on Add Category .
  • Enter your desired category name in the Enter Category Name field.
  • You can toggle on the Image Overlay option if needed.
  • Preview the overlay effect in the thumbnail view.
  • The cover image for the category will display here—crop to your liking.
  • Click Submit to finalize the new category.
  • You should see the new category appear immediately in your list.
  • Adding Images to a Category

  • Click Add Images .
  • Select the category you want to upload images into.
  • Drag and drop or browse files (.png, .jpg, .svg) to upload.
  • Add relevant Tags to help organize and filter your designs.
  • Click to Download uploaded files or verify that they appear in the gallery.
  • Managing and Organizing the Gallery

  • Navigate to the Categories tab to edit or view any category.
  • Use the checkboxes to select images and click Actions for batch edits.
  • Sort images in your preferred order for display purposes.
  • Use the Search Images... field to locate designs quickly.
  • Click the three dots next to a category to: Add a Subcategory Edit the Category Add more Images
  • To add a Subcategory, follow the same steps as creating a main Category.
  • Pro Tip: Once you've uploaded and sorted your gallery content, it becomes instantly accessible to your customers during their design and product-building process.
