Image Tab(Standalone): Add Category

Steps

  • Open the Sidebar Navigation – Begin by navigating to the left-hand sidebar within the Build A Gangsheet App dashboard.
  • Select the “Gallery” Tab – Click on the Gallery tab to open the section where you can manage categories and associated images.
  • Click “Add Category” – In the Gallery section, click the Add Category button to begin creating a new image category.
  • Name Your Category – In the popup or input field, type the name you want to assign to the new category. This title will be displayed in your public gallery view.
  • Enable Image Overlay (Optional) – You have the option to turn on the Image Overlay feature. This adds a visual layer on top of the images within this category, which can include branding or watermarking for display purposes.
  • Understand the Image Overlay Feature – The Image Overlay setting can be toggled on or off for each category. This feature is useful for previewing images with a protective or decorative overlay before download or purchase.
  • Cover Page Selection – Choose a representative cover image for the category. This image will serve as the thumbnail displayed in the gallery list view.
  • Crop Your Image – Adjust the cover image using the cropping tool to best fit your design and ensure it displays cleanly across devices.
  • Submit Your Category – After filling in the details and selecting your preferences, click the Submit button to save the new category.
  • Confirmation – Once submitted, your new category will appear in the Gallery tab, ready for image uploads and management.

    • Improves browsing experience for customers choosing artwork or print files.
