Uploading Artwork

The Upload tool lets you bring your own images onto the canvas — logos, photos, graphics, or any file your shop accepts. Uploaded artwork is saved to your uploads list so you can reuse it across views, colors, and products without uploading again.

Upload an image

  • Open the Upload panel and choose Upload Artwork.
  • Select an image from your device. Accepted file types are set by your shop (commonly PNG, JPG, JPEG, and SVG).
  • Wait for the Processing step to finish. The image then appears in your uploads list.
  • Click the image to place it on the canvas, then drag, scale, or rotate it into position.
  • If you don't see your images yet, the panel shows "No images uploaded yet" — upload one to get started.

    Watch the resolution warning

As you scale an image up, the studio checks its print resolution (DPI):

  • A resolution indicator appears on the selected object.
  • If the artwork is being stretched too large for a crisp print, you'll see a low-resolution warning.
  • Scale the image back down, or replace it with a higher-resolution file, until the warning clears.
  • This check helps you catch blurry prints before the order reaches production.

    Remove the background

For photos or logos with a solid background, you can knock the background out:

  • Select the uploaded image.
  • Choose the background removal option (shown as "Removing BG" while it works).
  • Preview the result. If it isn't clean, you can retry processing on the image.
  • Tips for great prints

    • Start with the largest, highest-resolution file you have — you can always scale down.
    • PNG files with transparency place cleanly over any garment color.
    • If a file won't upload, check that its type is on your shop's accepted list.
