Get Paid Online

Drip Merch lets your customers pay online instead of chasing checks. Depending on how your shop is set up, customers can pay by credit card directly or through a hosted redirect checkout, and every payment flows back onto the invoice or order so your balances stay accurate.

Pay by Credit Card

1. Present the customer with the card payment form on the invoice or checkout.
2. The customer enters their card details securely.
3. On success, the payment is authorized and recorded against the balance automatically.

Redirect Checkout

1. For redirect-based processors, the customer is sent to a hosted, secure payment page.
2. They complete the payment there and are returned to your shop.
3. The result posts back to the order or invoice so nothing is left to track manually.

Deposits and Balances

1. Online payment is always for the full outstanding balance. A customer paying an invoice online is charged its whole balance due, and a customer paying a quote online is charged the quote total. There is no way for them to pay a part of it.
2. To take a deposit, record it yourself with Record Payment on the invoice after the customer pays you by another means.
3. As payments are recorded, the outstanding balance updates automatically.

Keep Everything in Sync

1. Every online payment updates the amount paid and balance due on the record.
2. Warning

   refunds are recorded on the order only. Refunding an order increases its refunded amount but does not reduce the amount paid or reopen the balance on the matching invoice, so a fully refunded order can still have an invoice that reads Paid. Adjust the invoice by hand after a refund.

3. Your reports pick up the revenue automatically, so your numbers stay trustworthy.
