Variant and Price Display Options

Products with multiple variants — like size or color — need the deal bar to behave sensibly when a shopper picks a quantity. Drip Discounts includes a few per-deal settings that control how variants and prices are shown so the experience stays clean.

Letting Shoppers Choose Variants

  • Turn on allow to choose variants so shoppers can pick which variant they want for each quantity in the deal.
  • This is ideal for products where a bundle might mix sizes or colors, giving customers flexibility while still unlocking the quantity discount.
  • Leave it off if you'd rather keep the selection simple and tie the deal to the currently chosen variant.
  • Hiding Default Variants

  • Turn on hide default variants to keep single-option "Default Title" variants out of the deal bar's variant display.
  • This keeps the interface tidy for products that don't really have meaningful variants but still carry Shopify's default variant behind the scenes.
  • Showing the Compare-At Price

  • Turn on use compare-at price to base the "full price" shown in the deal bar on the product's compare-at price.
  • This lets you display the original higher price struck through next to the discounted price, reinforcing the savings.
  • Make sure your products actually have a compare-at price set in Shopify for this to display meaningfully.
  • Putting It Together

  • For a multi-variant product, enable variant selection so shoppers get exactly what they want at each quantity.
  • Use the compare-at price option to make the discount visually obvious.
  • Hide default variants on simple products to avoid a confusing single-option picker.
  • Previewing

Save the deal, then open a product page with variants and one without. Confirm the variant picker behaves as expected, the correct prices show, and the compare-at price (if enabled) appears struck through. Adjust the settings until the display is clear on every product the deal covers.
