Invite Teammates and Set Roles
Growing your support team is one of the first things you'll do in TixTalk. When you invite someone, they receive an email invitation to set up their account, and you decide what they can see and do by assigning a role. This article walks you through inviting a teammate and picking the role that fits.
Invite a New Teammate
Go to your Team settings.
Select Invite teammate.
Enter their email address, first name, and last name.
(Optional) Assign them to a specific brand if you run more than one. Leave this blank to give them access across all brands.
Choose a role (see the list below).
Send the invitation.
Your teammate receives an email invitation to join your workspace. The link lets them set their own password and get started, and it expires after 24 hours. If it lapses, simply invite them again to send a fresh link.
Choose the Right Role
TixTalk includes five roles. Each one comes with a sensible set of default permissions, which you can fine-tune later.
Owner — Full access to everything, including billing. This is the highest level of access.
Admin — Can manage the team and most settings, and handle all tickets and chats. Admins cannot manage billing.
Team Lead — Can assign and manage tickets and chats, respond to customers, and view reports. A good fit for shift or queue leads.
Agent — Can respond to tickets and live chats and handle day-to-day support work.
Viewer — Read-only access. Ideal for stakeholders who need visibility without making changes.
After the Invitation
Once a teammate accepts and sets their password, they appear in your Team list as active.
You can change someone's role at any time from their team member profile.
To fine-tune exactly what a person can do beyond their role defaults, see Fine-Tune Permissions.
Removing a teammate simply deactivates their access — their history and past conversations stay intact for your records.
