Configure Notifications
Fast support depends on knowing the moment something needs attention. TixTalk keeps your team in the loop with in-app notifications, mobile push alerts, and live chat preferences. This article explains what triggers a notification and how to manage them.
What Triggers a Notification
TixTalk notifies your team about the events that matter most:
New ticket created.
Ticket response from a customer.
Ticket assigned to you.
Ticket status changed.
New live chat started.
Live chat message received.
Mention when a teammate tags you.
Jira updates — status changes and new comments — if you use the Jira integration.
Manage In-App Notifications
Your notifications appear in the app so you can act on them quickly.
Open your notifications panel to see recent alerts.
Check the unread count at a glance.
Select a notification to jump straight to the related ticket or conversation.
Mark items as read individually, or use Mark all as read to clear the list.
Use Clear all to remove notifications you no longer need.
Set Up Mobile Push Notifications
If you use the TixTalk mobile app, you can get push notifications on the go.
Sign in to the app on your device.
Allow notifications when prompted — this registers your device to receive push alerts.
You'll now get alerts for new activity even when you're away from your desk.
To stop receiving push notifications, sign out or disable notifications for the app on that device.
Live Chat Notification Preferences
For teams handling live chat, a few extra preferences help you stay responsive:
Go to your live chat settings.
Turn desktop notifications on or off.
Choose whether to be notified when a new visitor arrives.
Choose whether to be notified on a new message.
Tune these so your team hears about what's important without being overwhelmed by alerts.
