Uninstalling Drip Socials and Your Data

If you decide to remove Drip Socials, this article explains how to uninstall it, what happens to your feeds, and how your data is treated afterward.

How to Uninstall

  • In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels (or Apps).
  • Find Drip Socials in your list of installed apps.
  • Choose to remove or delete the app.
  • Confirm the removal.
  • Uninstalling through Shopify revokes the app's access to your store.

    What Happens to Your Feeds

Once uninstalled, Drip Socials can no longer serve feeds to your storefront. Any InstaPulse Feed blocks left in your theme will no longer load content and may appear empty. To keep your store tidy:

  • Open your theme editor.
  • Remove any InstaPulse Feed blocks you had placed.
  • Save your changes.
  • Your Instagram Connection

Uninstalling stops Drip Socials from fetching any further content from Instagram. If you want to fully revoke the app's access to your Instagram account as well, you can do so from your Instagram/Meta account's connected apps settings.

    Privacy and Data Requests

Drip Socials complies with Shopify's data privacy requirements. It automatically supports the standard compliance requests Shopify sends on your behalf, including:

    • Customer data requests
    • Customer data deletion (redaction)
    • Shop data deletion (redaction)
These ensure your and your customers' data is handled according to Shopify's privacy rules when you uninstall or make a request.

    Reinstalling Later

You can reinstall Drip Socials at any time from the Shopify App Store. You'll reconnect Instagram and rebuild your feeds, then re-add the feed blocks to your theme.

    Next Steps

    • Rebuild after reinstalling — see the Getting Started articles.
    • Clean up theme blocks — see Add the Instagram Feed to Your Theme.
