Delete a Feed Block

If you no longer need a particular feed configuration, you can delete it from Drip Socials. Deleting keeps your app tidy and removes feeds you've stopped using.

Delete a Feed

  • Open Drip Socials from your Shopify admin.
  • Locate the feed block you want to remove in your list of feeds.
  • Choose to delete it.
  • Confirm the deletion.
  • Once deleted, the feed configuration is permanently removed from Drip Socials.

    What Happens on Your Storefront

Deleting a feed block removes its configuration. If that feed's block identifier is still referenced by an InstaPulse Feed block in your theme, that placement will no longer have a valid feed to load and will appear empty.

To avoid empty spots on your storefront:

  • Before deleting, note which theme locations use the feed's identifier.
  • After deleting, open your theme editor and either remove the corresponding InstaPulse Feed block or point it at a different, still-active feed identifier.
  • When to Delete vs. Edit

    • Delete a feed only when you're sure you no longer want it anywhere on your store.
    • Edit instead if you just want to change how a live feed looks — this keeps the same identifier and avoids empty theme blocks. See Edit or Update a Feed Block.

    Tips

    • Deletion is permanent, so double-check you've selected the right feed.
    • Clean up the matching theme blocks right after deleting to prevent blank sections.
    • If you're only pausing a feed temporarily, consider leaving it in place rather than deleting it.

    Next Steps

    • Update your theme placements — see Add the Instagram Feed to Your Theme.
    • Create a replacement — see Create a Feed Block.
