Reconnect or Refresh Your Instagram Connection
Your Instagram connection normally maintains itself, but there are times when reconnecting is the fastest way to restore your feed or force it to pull your very latest posts.
When You Should Reconnect
- Your connection expired — Instagram access is granted with a token that renews automatically, but if a renewal fails, the connection can drop.
- You changed your Instagram password or revoked access — this invalidates the existing connection.
- You want the newest post now — reconnecting triggers an immediate content fetch instead of waiting for the next scheduled refresh.
- Media permission was denied — reconnecting lets you approve the permissions you missed.
