Connect Your Instagram Account

Before Drip Socials can show a feed on your storefront, it needs to connect to your Instagram account. This is done through Meta's official, secure login flow — Drip Socials never sees or stores your Instagram password.

Connect Instagram

Open Drip Socials from your Shopify admin.

Click the Connect Instagram button.

You'll be redirected to Instagram/Meta to log in and review the access Drip Socials is requesting.

Approve the permissions to allow Drip Socials to read your media and profile.

You'll be sent back to Drip Socials automatically once the connection is complete.

What Happens After You Connect

As soon as the connection succeeds, Drip Socials:

Saves a secure access token for your account (not your password).

Immediately fetches your recent Instagram posts.

Pulls in your profile details — name, username, profile picture, follower count, and following count.

Your feed content is now ready to be displayed once you add a feed block to your theme.

Which Account to Use

Connect the Instagram account whose posts you want on your store. The username and name you connect are what will appear in the optional profile header of your feed, and the Follow button will link to that account.

Permissions Explained

Drip Socials requests read access to your media (so it can display your posts) and basic profile information (so it can show your name, picture, and follower stats). It does not request the ability to post, delete, or modify anything on your Instagram account.
