Check Your Instagram Connection Status

After linking Instagram, it's a good idea to confirm everything connected correctly. Drip Socials shows your account status inside the app so you always know whether your feed has a live source.

What the App Shows

When you open Drip Socials, the account area reflects your current connection:

  • Connected account name — the Instagram username currently linked to your store.
  • Connection status — whether an active connection to Instagram exists.
  • Media permission — whether Drip Socials has permission to read your posts.
If your account is connected and media permission is granted, your feed will populate with posts. If either is missing, your feed may appear empty.

Confirming Media Permission

Media permission is what allows Drip Socials to actually pull in your photos and videos. When you first connect, the app checks this permission and records your post count. If permission wasn't granted:

  • The feed won't have images to display.
  • You'll need to reconnect and make sure you approve the media access request.
  • To fix it, disconnect and connect again, approving all requested permissions during the Meta login.

    When Status Looks Wrong

    • Shows connected but feed is empty — your posts may still be syncing, or media permission may not have been granted. Give it a little time, then check again.
    • Shows disconnected — your access may have expired or been revoked. Reconnect Instagram to restore it.
    • Wrong account name — you connected a different Instagram account than intended. Disconnect and reconnect with the correct one.

    Next Steps

    • Reconnect if needed — see Reconnect or Refresh Your Instagram Connection.
    • Disconnect entirely — see Disconnect Your Instagram Account.
