Validation Errors When Saving a Deal
Drip Discounts checks your deal before it saves, so a small misconfiguration can stop the save and show a validation message. These checks exist to keep your offers working correctly on the storefront. Here are the common ones and how to fix them.
Duplicate Deal Name
Every deal name must be unique within your store.
If you see a message that the name should be unique, rename the deal to something not already in use.
Missing Tiers
A deal must have at least one quantity tier.
If saving fails, add a tier with a quantity and discount, then save again.
Missing Products or Collections
If visibility is specific products, you must select at least one product.
If visibility is specific collections, you must select at least one collection.
Add the required selection to match your chosen visibility, then save.
Percentage Over 100%
A percentage tier's discount can't exceed 100%.
If you entered a higher value, lower it to 100 or below.
Specific Price Type Restrictions
The specific discount type is only valid for a single-product deal.
It can't be used when the deal targets all products or specific collections, or when more than one product is selected.
Either switch the tier to percentage or fixed, or narrow the deal to a single product.
Color and Font Completeness
Deals expect a full set of color and font settings.
If a required styling value is missing, complete it before saving.
Reading the Error
When a save fails, Drip Discounts highlights which field caused the problem.
Fix the flagged field, then save again.
Still Blocked?
If you've addressed the highlighted field and the save still fails, re-check each requirement above one by one — most validation errors come from a mismatch between the visibility choice and the products, collections, or discount type you selected.
