Discount Not Applying at Checkout
If shoppers can see the deal bar but the savings aren't showing up in the cart or at checkout, the discount rule and the on-store display may be out of sync, or a targeting detail may be off. Here's how to diagnose it.
1. Confirm the Quantity Meets a Tier
Discounts only apply once the cart reaches a tier's quantity.
Check that the number of qualifying items in the cart actually hits or exceeds a tier threshold.
If a shopper buys fewer than the smallest discounted tier, no discount is expected.
2. Re-Save the Deal to Re-Sync the Discount
Drip Discounts creates and updates the underlying Shopify discount whenever you save a deal.
If a deal was edited but not saved, the live discount may be stale.
Open the deal and save it again to force the discount to re-sync.
3. Check the Product Is Really Covered
Confirm the product isn't in the deal's excluded products list.
For collection deals, confirm the product is actually a member of a targeted collection.
For specific-product deals, confirm the product is in the selected list.
4. Verify Your Subscription Is Active
An inactive plan can stop the offer from functioning end to end.
Confirm your subscription is active in the billing section.
5. Watch for Discount Conflicts
Other discounts or automatic promotions on the same cart can interact with your quantity break.
Test with a clean cart containing only the qualifying product to isolate the behavior.
6. Test With a Real Cart
Add the qualifying quantity to the cart and proceed toward checkout.
Confirm the discount line appears with the tier's title.
Still Not Working?
If the quantity is correct, the product is targeted, and the plan is active, re-save the deal one more time and retest with a fresh cart. Re-syncing the discount resolves the large majority of these cases.
