Exporting Responses

When you want to dig deeper than the dashboard — building charts, sharing with your team, or crunching numbers — Drip Surveys lets you export your responses to a spreadsheet file. You can choose the format and limit the export to a specific date range.

Export formats

  • XLSX — an Excel workbook, ideal for pivot tables and formatting.
  • CSV — a plain comma-separated file that opens in any spreadsheet tool and imports easily elsewhere.
  • Export your responses

  • Open Drip Surveys in your Shopify admin.
  • Go to the responses or export section.
  • Choose your date from and date to to set the range you want.
  • Select the format — XLSX or CSV.
  • Start the export.
  • Your browser downloads the file as an attachment.
  • What's included

The exported file contains your response data — including order numbers, customer details, submission dates, and the answers to each question — for every response in the date range you selected.

    Good to know

    • The date range is inclusive: the "from" date starts at the beginning of that day and the "to" date runs through the end of that day, so no responses at the edges are missed.
    • Choose CSV if you plan to import the data into another tool, or XLSX if you'll work with it directly in Excel.
    • Exports reflect the same responses you see in the dashboard, so your file always matches your live data.
    • Run an export periodically to keep an offline backup of your feedback.
Exporting is the best way to analyze trends over time — for example, tallying up how customers answered "How did you hear about us?" across a whole quarter.
