Drip Surveys sometimes issues promo codes that reduce the price of your app subscription. This is the only kind of code the app handles.
these codes discount what you pay Drip Apps. Drip Surveys does not generate, issue or display discount codes to the customers who answer your survey. There is no respondent-reward or incentive feature in the app.
Redeem a code
- Open Drip Surveys in your Shopify admin and go to the Plans page.
- Next to the "Choose your plan" heading, click Use discount code.
- Type your code into the Discount code field.
- Click Apply.
If the code is accepted, the modal closes, the link is replaced by a green Discount activated badge, and both plan cards immediately redraw showing the reduced price.
What the discount does
- A code carries a percentage value, for example 20 for 20% off.
- That percentage is passed to Shopify when you start the subscription, so the recurring plan price Shopify asks you to approve is already reduced.
- The reduction applies to the recurring price, so it keeps applying for the life of that subscription.
One code per store, permanently
a store can only ever apply one promo code. Once a code is attached to your store, every further attempt is rejected with Discount coupon already applied. There is no way to remove a code or swap it for a better one from inside the app, so if you have been given more than one, apply the one worth the most.
When a code is refused
The app shows a single inline message, Discount code is invalid, for every failure. Behind that message there are three possible reasons:
- The code does not exist. Check for typos and extra spaces.
- The code has hit its usage limit. Each code has a limit on how many stores in total can redeem it. Once that number is reached, nobody else can use it.
- Your store already has a code applied (see above).
Good to know
- Apply the code before you pick a plan. If you subscribe first, the charge Shopify has already approved is at the full price.
- The code is attached to your store the moment you click Apply, even though you have not subscribed yet.
- If you do not have a code, nothing is missing — you are simply billed at the standard plan price.
