Adjust Spacing and Grid Appearance

Small spacing tweaks can make a big difference in how polished your feed looks. Drip Socials gives you direct control over the gap between posts so the gallery sits comfortably within your theme.

The Spacing Setting

The spacing value sets the gap, in pixels, between every post in the grid. It applies both horizontally and vertically:

  • 0 pixels — a seamless, edge-to-edge mosaic with no gaps.
  • Small values (2–8px) — subtle separation that keeps posts feeling connected.
  • Larger values (10px+) — clearly separated tiles with plenty of breathing room.

Choosing the Right Amount

The best spacing depends on your layout and surrounding design:

  • For a bold, immersive block of imagery, use 0 for a tight mosaic.
  • For a lighter, airier feel that matches a spacious theme, increase the spacing.
  • Match the gap to the padding used elsewhere on the page so the feed feels intentional.
  • How Spacing Interacts With the Grid

Spacing works together with your columns and rows settings. As you add more columns, each post gets smaller to fit, and the spacing determines how much of that space becomes gaps versus image. Preview at different screen sizes to make sure the result looks good on both desktop and mobile.

    Set It Up

  • Open your feed block's settings in Drip Socials.
  • Adjust the spacing value.
  • Save your changes.
  • Preview your storefront to check the result.
  • Tips

    • Combine 0 spacing with the Squares layout for a classic uninterrupted Instagram grid.
    • If your posts feel cramped, increase spacing before reducing the number of columns.
    • Keep spacing consistent across multiple feeds for a cohesive look.

    Next Steps

    • Change the grid size or shape — see Feed Layout and Grid Options.
    • Style the title text — see Feed Name and Text Styling.
