Getting Drip Socials onto your store takes just a couple of minutes. The app installs like any other Shopify app and only requests the permissions it needs to display your feed.
Install the App
- Open the Drip Socials listing on the Shopify App Store.
- Click Add app (or Install).
- You'll be taken to your Shopify admin to review the installation.
- Review the requested permissions and click Install to confirm.
Drip Socials requests exactly one Shopify permission: read your theme files (read_themes). That is the whole list. It does not request access to your products, orders or customers, and it cannot write anything to your store.
connecting Instagram is a second, separate authorisation, done from inside the app against Meta rather than Shopify. Installing the app does not connect Instagram, and Shopify's install screen says nothing about Instagram permissions. Two consent steps catches almost everyone out once.
After Installation
Once installed, Drip Socials opens inside your Shopify admin as an embedded app.
- You'll land on the app's home screen the first time it loads.
- From here your next step is to connect your Instagram account so the app has content to display.
- After connecting Instagram, you'll create a feed block and add it to your theme.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
- Drip Socials creates a secure record for your store during installation.
- The app registers Shopify's uninstall notification so it knows when you remove it.
- No feed appears on your storefront yet — that only happens once you connect Instagram and add a feed block to your theme.
- Drip Socials is free. There is no plan to pick and no charge at any point.
