How Your Feed Stays Updated

One of the best things about Drip Socials is that your feed maintains itself. Once you've connected Instagram and added a feed block, you don't need to manually upload or swap images — the app keeps everything in sync for you.

When Your Feed Refreshes

Drip Socials pulls fresh content from Instagram at two key moments:

  • Right after you connect — As soon as your Instagram account is linked, Drip Socials fetches your recent posts and profile information immediately.
  • On a recurring schedule — After that, the app periodically re-fetches your latest media in the background so new posts appear and removed posts drop off automatically.
  • Because refreshes run on a schedule, a brand-new Instagram post may take a little while to show up on your storefront rather than appearing instantly.

    What Gets Synced

    Each refresh updates:

    • Your recent posts — new images are added, and posts you've deleted on Instagram are removed from the feed.
    • Your profile details — your name, username, profile picture, follower count, and following count are refreshed so the optional profile header stays accurate.

    Keeping Your Connection Alive

Instagram access is granted through a token that expires after about 60 days. Drip Socials automatically renews this token before it lapses, so your feed keeps working without you having to reconnect. If a renewal ever fails, you may need to reconnect Instagram manually — see the Troubleshooting section.

    Good to Know

    • You don't need to keep the app open for refreshes to happen — they run on their own.
    • If you want the very latest post to appear sooner, you can reconnect Instagram to trigger an immediate fetch.
    • The number of posts stored is capped (see How Many Posts Are Shown), so only your most recent content is kept.
