Feed Layout and Grid Options

The layout settings control the overall shape and structure of your Instagram feed. With just a few options you can make your feed match your store's style — from a tidy square grid to a taller, more editorial look.

Choose a Layout Style

Drip Socials offers two layout styles:

  • Squares — every post is displayed as a 1:1 square. This is the classic Instagram grid look and works well for uniform, balanced feeds.
  • Tiles — posts use a taller 2:3 aspect ratio, giving a more portrait, magazine-style appearance.
Pick the one that best fits the section of your store where the feed will live.

Set Columns and Rows

The grid is defined by two numbers:

  • Columns — how many posts appear across each row.
  • Rows — how many rows of posts are shown.
  • The total number of posts displayed is columns × rows. For example, 4 columns and 2 rows shows 8 posts. If you request more posts than are available, only the posts you have are shown.

    Adjust Spacing

The spacing setting controls the gap (in pixels) between each post in the grid. A spacing of 0 creates a seamless, edge-to-edge mosaic, while higher values add breathing room between images. Choose a value that matches the padding and style of the surrounding section.

    How It Comes Together

When your feed loads, Drip Socials builds a grid using your chosen columns, rows, and spacing, then fills each cell with your most recent posts in order. The layout style determines whether those cells are square or tile-shaped.

    Tips

    • Keep column counts sensible for mobile — very wide grids can look cramped on phones.
    • Match the total post count (columns × rows) to how much of your feed you want to feature.
    • Preview on both desktop and mobile after saving.

    Next Steps

    • Style the text and colors — see Feed Name and Text Styling.
    • Show your profile — see Show Your Instagram Profile Header.
