Set What Happens When Visitors Click a Post
Drip Socials lets you decide how your feed reacts when a shopper clicks one of its posts. You can keep the gallery purely visual, or turn each post into a link that opens the original content on Instagram.
Click Options
There are two click behaviors to choose from:
- Do nothing — posts are displayed as static images. Clicking a post has no effect, keeping visitors on your store.
- Go to Instagram — each post becomes a link. Clicking opens that specific post on Instagram in a new browser tab.
When to Use Each
- Do nothing is ideal when you want the feed to act as visual social proof without sending shoppers away from your store.
- Go to Instagram is great for driving engagement and followers, letting visitors explore your full posts, captions, and profile.
How the Link Works
When "Go to Instagram" is enabled, Drip Socials wraps each image in a link to that post's original Instagram permalink. The link opens in a new tab, so shoppers keep your store open behind it. Each post links to its own individual Instagram post — not just your profile.
Tracking Clicks
Regardless of the click behavior, Drip Socials records interactions with your feed so you can gauge engagement. See Understand Your Feed's Views and Clicks for more on the metrics available.
