What Is Drip Discounts

Drip Discounts is a Shopify app that lets you offer quantity-break, volume, and tiered discounts directly on your product pages. Instead of a flat price for every unit, shoppers see clear "buy more, save more" options that encourage them to add extra items to their cart — lifting your average order value without extra ad spend.

When a customer lands on a product page, Drip Discounts shows a set of buying options (the "deal bar"). Each option represents a quantity tier — for example, buy 1, buy 3, or buy 5 — with the matching savings shown right next to it. When they choose a tier and check out, the discount is applied automatically at the cart.

What You Can Build

Drip Discounts is built around a few simple pieces that work together:

Deals — the overall discount campaign, where you set the layout, the products it applies to, and the styling.

Deal bars (tiers) — the individual quantity options inside a deal, each with its own quantity, discount, and labels.

The theme block — the on-store display that shows your tiers on the product page.

How the Discount Is Applied

Drip Discounts uses Shopify's native discount engine, so savings are calculated automatically in the cart and at checkout — there's no code for you to touch. You configure everything in the app, and Drip Discounts keeps your on-store display and your discount rules in sync.

Getting Started in Three Steps

Install Drip Discounts from the Shopify App Store and open the app.

Create your first deal and add a few quantity tiers.

Add and enable the Drip Discounts theme block on your product pages so shoppers can see and pick their tier.
