Creating Your First Deal

This article is the fast path from a fresh install to a working quantity-break offer on your storefront. If you'd rather dig into each setting in depth, follow the links to the detailed articles — but if you just want to get something live, follow these steps in order.

What a New Deal Already Contains

The Create form is not blank. It arrives pre-filled with a working three-tier deal, so clicking Save immediately gives you a live offer:

1. Deal name Super deal for all products, block title - BUY MORE & SPEND LESS -.
2. Visibility All products, layout Vertical.
3. Three bars: Standard deal (quantity 1, Default price, marked as the default option), Super deal (quantity 2, 10% off), and Best deal (quantity 3, 20% off, label Super offer).

Change whatever you like before saving.

Build the Deal

1. Open Drip Discounts and start a new deal.
2. Give the deal a name. This is an internal label to help you find it later, and it must be unique within your store.
3. Add a title — the heading shoppers see above the tiers on the product page.
4. Choose a layout: vertical stacks the tiers, horizontal places them side by side.
5. Decide the price framing with the Show prices per item checkbox. Ticked shows a per-unit price; unticked, which is the default, shows the bundle total.

Add Your Quantity Tiers

1. Add at least one quantity tier (a "deal bar"). Each deal needs a minimum of one tier.
2. For each bar, set the Quantity it unlocks and the Price type — Default, Discounted %, Discounted € or Specific.
3. Give each tier a title and optional subtitle so the offer reads clearly.
4. Optionally mark one tier as the default so it's pre-selected when the page loads.

Choose Where It Applies

1. Set the deal's visibility: All products, Specific products, or Specific collections.
2. If you chose Specific products or Specific collections, pick the ones you want. On All-products and Specific-collections deals you can also use Exclude products.

Save and Go Live

1. Save the deal. Drip Discounts queues a background job that creates the matching Shopify automatic discount, so it appears a moment later rather than instantly.
2. Add the Quantity Breaks theme block to your product template, enable it, and click Save in the theme editor. Enabling without saving does nothing.
3. Choose a plan. Deals stay hidden on the storefront until your store is on an active plan.
4. Preview a product page to confirm the bars appear and the savings look right.
