Installing And Enabling The App

Before you can build quantity-break discounts, Drip Discounts needs to be installed on your store and granted the permissions it uses to read your products and manage discounts. This article walks through the install flow so you know exactly what to expect.

Installing Drip Discounts

Open the Drip Discounts listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app.

You'll be taken to your Shopify admin to review the app.

Click Install to add Drip Discounts to your store.

Approving Permissions

During install, Shopify asks you to approve the access Drip Discounts needs to do its job. The app requests permission to:

Read products — so you can pick which products and collections a deal applies to.

Read and write discounts — so it can create and update the automatic discounts that power your tiers.

Read orders — so it can calculate your discount statistics and added revenue.

Read themes — so it can detect whether the on-store display is activated.

These permissions are what let Drip Discounts keep your deals, your discounts, and your storefront display all working together automatically.

Confirming the App Is Ready

Once install finishes, Drip Discounts opens inside your Shopify admin. From here you can:

Create your first deal and add quantity tiers.

Style the deal bar to match your theme.

Enable the theme block so the discounts appear on your product pages.
