Offers evolve — seasons change, margins shift, and winning tiers get tweaked. Drip Discounts lets you edit any deal at any time or remove it entirely, and it keeps the underlying Shopify discount in sync so your storefront always reflects your latest settings.
Editing a Deal
- Open Drip Discounts and select the deal you want to change from your list of deals.
- Update any part of the deal — its name, title, layout, pricing option, tiers, styling, or product targeting.
- Save your changes.
- Drip Discounts automatically updates the matching Shopify discount so the new configuration applies to future carts.
Because edits sync straight through to the live discount, it's worth previewing a product page after any significant change to confirm the tiers and savings look correct.
Renaming a Deal
- A deal's name must stay unique within your store. Reusing a name that already belongs to another deal fails with
Name should be unique. - Renaming a deal is safe for your statistics.
renaming a deal bar is not. Statistics are attributed by matching the deal-bar title against the discount line on the order, so once you change a bar's title, new orders stop being counted toward your figures. Existing totals are unaffected, which makes the problem look like the deal simply stopped working. See the analytics articles.
Deleting a Deal
- Open the deal you no longer need.
- Choose to delete it.
- Drip Discounts queues two background jobs: one to remove the deal's stored configuration, and one to clean up the Shopify discount.
Both run on a queue, so give it a moment before checking Shopify Admin.
from your sixth deal onward, deals share Shopify discounts (see the creating-a-deal article). If the deal you delete is sharing a discount with others, that Shopify discount is rewritten rather than removed, and the deals sharing it are briefly re-synced. If a shared discount is the one named after the deal you just deleted, the name in Shopify Admin will no longer reflect a deal you own. Check your remaining deals still apply correctly on a product page after deleting anything from a store with more than five deals.
Once a deal is deleted, its tiers stop appearing on the product page and its discount no longer applies at checkout.
Before You Delete
- If you only want to pause an offer, narrow its targeting instead of deleting — that keeps the setup for later.
- Deleting is permanent, so double-check you're removing the right deal before you confirm.
- Uninstalling the app removes every deal.
Keeping your deal list tidy makes it much easier to manage multiple campaigns and see at a glance what's live on your store.
