Survey Text and Messages
Every word your shoppers read is configurable in Drip Surveys. From the heading at the top of the survey to the confirmation they see after responding, you control the copy so it matches your brand's voice.
The text fields you can set
Form title — The heading shown at the top of the survey (for example, "We'd love your feedback").
Button text — The label on the submit button (for example, "Send feedback").
Success message — The confirmation shown after a shopper submits (for example, "Thanks for helping us improve!").
Dropdown placeholder — The prompt text shown in dropdown questions before a selection is made.
Text area placeholder — The label shown on free-text (textarea) questions.
Edit your survey text
Open Drip Surveys in your Shopify admin.
Go to your survey settings.
Update the form title, button text, success message, and placeholders.
Save your configuration.
Writing effective copy
Keep the form title short and inviting — you're asking a favor, so a warm tone helps.
Make the button action clear — "Submit" or "Send feedback" beats a vague label.
Thank shoppers in the success message — a little gratitude encourages future engagement.
Use placeholders as gentle prompts, such as "Choose one" for dropdowns.
Good to know
- Every one of these fields supports the
%customer_name% and %customer_email% personalization tokens.
- Each field is limited to 255 characters, so keep messages concise.
- All fields are required — make sure none are left blank before saving.
- Changes are pushed to your storefront when you save, so test with an order to see the final wording.
Once your wording is set, move on to styling the survey's fonts and button appearance.
