Discount Coupon Incentive
Drip Surveys supports discount coupons that reduce the price of your app subscription. If you've been given a coupon — for example, through a promotion or partner offer — it's applied automatically to your plan when you subscribe.
How the discount works
A coupon carries a discount value, expressed as a percentage off your subscription price.
When you start a subscription, the discount is applied to your recurring plan price through Shopify billing.
You see the reduced price on Shopify's subscription approval screen before you confirm.
Usage limits
Each coupon has a usage limit and a running count of how many times it has been used:
The coupon can be applied up to its usage limit.
Each successful subscription that uses the coupon increments its used count.
Once the limit is reached, the coupon is no longer available.
Applying a coupon
Ensure the coupon is associated with your store (this is set up when the coupon is issued to you).
Start or change your subscription in Drip Surveys.
Shopify's billing screen shows the discounted recurring price.
Approve the subscription to lock in the discount.
Good to know
- The discount applies to your recurring subscription price, so the savings continue for the life of the discounted plan.
- Coupons are percentage-based — for example, a coupon might take a set percentage off the monthly or annual price.
- Usage is tracked per coupon, so once its limit is hit, new subscriptions won't receive the discount.
- If you don't have a coupon, you'll simply be billed at the standard plan price.
