Keep Quantity Input Setting

Many Shopify themes include their own quantity selector on the product page — a little number field with plus and minus buttons. Since the Drip Discounts deal bar already lets shoppers choose a quantity by picking a tier, you can decide whether that native selector should stay or go.

What the Setting Does

  • Keep quantity input enabled — your theme's built-in quantity selector remains visible alongside the deal bar.
  • Keep quantity input disabled — the native selector is kept out of the way so the deal bar is the single, clear place to choose quantity.
  • Why It Matters

  • Showing two quantity controls at once can confuse shoppers about which one actually sets what they're buying.
  • Hiding the native selector makes the deal bar the obvious choice and keeps the buying flow clean.
  • Some merchants prefer to keep the native input for shoppers who want a quantity outside the defined tiers.
  • Choosing the Right Option

  • If your tiers cover the quantities that matter, disable the native input for the clearest experience.
  • If shoppers frequently need arbitrary quantities beyond your tiers, enable it so they can still type any number.
  • Changing the Setting

  • Toggle the keep-quantity-input option in Drip Discounts.
  • The change is saved to your store's configuration.
  • Preview a product page to confirm the native selector behaves as you intended.
  • Previewing Across Themes

  • Because themes render the quantity field differently, always preview after changing this setting.
  • Check both desktop and mobile to be sure the deal bar and the native input (if kept) don't overlap awkwardly.
  • Getting this right removes a common point of confusion and keeps shoppers focused on the tier they want — save the setting and preview to lock it in.
