Applying a Discount Coupon
Drip Discounts occasionally offers coupon codes that reduce the cost of your app subscription. These coupons apply a percentage discount to your plan price when you subscribe. This article explains how to redeem one and what to expect.
What a Coupon Does
A coupon carries a percentage discount that's applied to your Drip Discounts subscription.
When you start or confirm your subscription with a coupon active, the discount is reflected in the price Shopify shows you.
Coupons affect your app subscription cost — they are not customer-facing storefront discounts (those are handled by your deals and tiers).
Redeeming a Coupon
Enter your coupon code in Drip Discounts.
If the code is valid and still available, it's applied to your store.
The matching percentage discount is then carried into your subscription when you subscribe.
Usage Limits
Each coupon has a usage limit — the maximum number of times it can be redeemed across all stores.
If a coupon has already reached its limit, it can't be applied, and you'll see a message that the usage limit has been reached.
Popular promotional codes can run out, so redeem yours promptly.
One Coupon Per Store
A store can have one coupon applied at a time.
If a coupon is already applied to your store, you'll see a message that a coupon has already been applied and won't be able to stack a second one.
Invalid Codes
If the code doesn't exist, the app reports that the coupon can't be found.
Double-check for typos, extra spaces, or expired codes, and try again.
After Applying
Once your coupon is applied, continue to the billing step to subscribe. The discounted price is applied automatically — there's nothing else you need to do to claim the savings.
